On behalf of the ICS organizing committee, I am delighted to invite you to the 11th International Chrysophyte Symposium (ICS 2026). The conference will be held at the Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in Suwon from June 23rd to June 27th, 2026. This year’s symposium will be a joint meeting with the annual meeting of the Korean Society of Protistologists, fostering even greater collaboration across the fields of phycology and protistology.

The ICS, which started in 1983, is a significant forum for research on golden-brown algae (chrysophytes), allied algae, and other protist groups. The official website is now available at https://ics2026.org/. 

The ICS 2026 will continue to address major research themes, including biodiversity, evolution, ecology, systematics, and experimental biology. The program includes i) keynote lectures, ii) best student and young scientist award presentations, iii) oral and poster presentations, iv) field trip, and v) excursion.
